coconutBattery for MAC
Check the battery health of your Mac, iPhone and iPad: capacity, charge cycles, age and live details. Free version.
coconutBattery Overview
coconutBattery shows how healthy the battery in your Mac, iPhone or iPad is. It reads the battery's original design capacity and its full charge capacity today, so you can see at a glance how much it has worn, along with the number of charge cycles, the current charge, temperature and live charging information. It has been made by coconut-flavour.com since 2005 and is only available from its own website, not from any App Store.
The free version checks your Mac's battery and the battery of an iPhone or iPad connected by cable, shows Mac battery details in the menu bar and saves battery readings so you can follow the battery's health over time. coconutBattery Plus, a one-time purchase, adds Wi-Fi connection to iPhone and iPad, a battery lifetime analyzer, advanced details such as SSD statistics, notifications and custom print templates. coconutBattery 4 needs macOS 12 Monterey or later.

coconutBattery FAQ
Is coconutBattery free?
Yes. The free version checks your Mac's battery and the battery of a connected iPhone or iPad, and saves battery readings over time. coconutBattery Plus is an optional one-time purchase, not a subscription.
What does coconutBattery Plus add?
Plus adds Wi-Fi support for iPhone and iPad, a battery lifetime analyzer, an advanced viewer with details such as SSD statistics, iPhone and iPad details in the menu bar, notifications and custom print templates. A free trial lets you start coconutBattery 10 times in Plus mode.
How do I check my MacBook battery health with coconutBattery?
Open coconutBattery and look at the Mac tab. It compares the battery's full charge capacity today with its design capacity when new; the lower the percentage, the more the battery has worn.
Can coconutBattery check my iPhone or iPad battery?
Yes. Connect the iPhone or iPad to your Mac with a cable and coconutBattery reads its battery health. With coconutBattery Plus, you can also connect over Wi-Fi.
What does the number of charge cycles mean?
A charge cycle is counted each time you have used the equivalent of a full battery, even across several partial charges. Batteries slowly lose capacity as cycles add up.
Which macOS version does coconutBattery need?
coconutBattery 4 needs macOS 12 Monterey or later. Older versions for earlier systems, back to Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, are listed on its website.
Why does coconutBattery not show my device's manufacture date?
Apple switched to randomized serial numbers a few years ago, which no longer contain the manufacturing date, so coconutBattery cannot read it for those devices.
Can I get coconutBattery from the Mac App Store?
No. coconutBattery is only available from its own website, coconut-flavour.com.
How can I keep my Mac battery healthy?
The developer recommends avoiding heat, avoiding fast charging when you don't need it, and turning on Apple's Optimized Battery Charging.
Where does the coconutBattery download on coconutbattery.FULLMAC.app come from?
The download button leads to coconutBattery's official page at https://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/. coconutbattery.FULLMAC.app does not change or repackage the app.

Performance MonitorPerformance Monitor is a lightweight menu bar app that shows what your Mac is doing right now.
